Elegant Glass Top Coffee Table
Glass Top Coffee Table – This table for the living room was the first DIY project I did in my life. Since then a world of possibilities opened and I realized how diy could transform my decor and yours. I’ll explain step by step how to make a glass top coffee table with copper pipes, you’ll see it’s very easy. With these premises I started looking and, surprise, surprise, all I liked and met those 3 points or were expensive, or not sold in Spain. The story of my life, fall in love with a wonderful piece that is on the other side of the world. One in particular I was quite convinced and thought “I could swear I can do this” and I jumped.
The first thing I did was look for the glass and found this. A new 1m x 60cm glass with rounded corners for 29 € (+ 30 € transport) is a bargain, adapts to measures driving, so I bought it. From the glass measures I took the measures from the square glass top coffee table and went to buy the tubes. These parts are plumbing materials, they can be purchased at hardware stores and home improvement stores.

The wooden shelf is made with tables that “stole” my father of his small warehouse / workshop materials brought from the beach, so the aged look is authentic. You use old or new tables for your table diy entered, they must have 92cm long and cover among all 42 / 43cm wide. To secure them you need 2 shelf brackets like this per table. Once you have all the pieces together is time to get down to work.
The first is to clean the oily protective film that bring factory to cut tubes. To cut use obviously the cutter. With the cut tubes, we fit the pieces. Thick copper tubes for the legs and for holding the glass tubes to hold fine shelf. Better add superglue inside connections to secure them. Done! You already have the structure of the oval glass top coffee table diy center. With copper finish looks great but I did not convince me as combined with my carpet, so I painted imitating the aged copper. This effect can be achieved with chemicals but preferred to paint at some point if I change my mind and I want to leave copper color. First I applied several coats of silver paint that later grew old with bitumen.
