Drill a 1-foot (30 cm) deep hole large enough for a 4 by 4-inch (10 by 10 cm) post. Place the post inside the hole and fill it with soil. Pack the soil very well around the pole until it does not move when pushed. Hold two of the 1-foot (30 cm) boards 6 inches (15 cm) apart, each resting on the 1-inch (2.5 cm) width along its 1-foot (30 cm) side. Place another 1-foot (30 cm) board over the top of the other two and line up the edges to start forming the box. Place a nail through the top table and inside each side. Turn the box. Center the frontgate mailbox on the post and the nails through the bottom and inside the post to join it.

Place the last 1-foot (30 cm) table on the top of the box and a nail through it to join them. Add the backside by placing one of the 8-inch boards in the back of the box. Keep the box lined up on all sides and put a nail to join it. Place your hinge in the center of the board 8 inches (20 cm) on the side 6 inches (15 cm). Screw the hinge on the table. Hold the door aligned with the box. Double check the frontgate mailbox placement of your door and attach it to the other side of the hinge in the base of the box.

Glue the handle by marking a point on the inside of the gate. Screw through the door from the inside until the tip comes out. Place the handle on the screw and continue until it does not move. Attach the lock of the magnetic door by screwing it on the inside along the top of the frontgate mailbox. Find the matching touch point inside the door and secure the other half of the lock at that point.

Add the frontgate mailbox flag according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Flags can be found at home improvement stores or online. Different flags include different frame parts, so choose the one you want to install. Note that most flags are placed on the right side of the mailbox near the front.
